Jujuy families prepare to honor their deceased, on November 2, with various activities in fairs, churches and cemeteries, but also in many homes, where offerings of bread are made that are dedicated to the souls, in a tradition deeply rooted in the sentiments of the residents. Precisely, to facilitate mass participation in the commemorations, the Government of Jujuy granted administrative and school leave in the province for this Thursday, November 2, All Souls' Day. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, All Saints' Day, believers honor the saint corresponding to their name day, with prayers, meditation and faith. “We prepared a table with more than a thousand offerings to share for free with all the families who came to Plaza Belgrano, in the center of the city, and also to be able to tell them the meaning that these dates have,” indicated the secretary of Sociocultural Policies and Intersectional Approach of Jujuy Rebeca Chambi.
